Dec 11, 2014 For years we have been running auto logons with students in the schools and using the bypass key for teachers or admins but with windows 7 I can't seem to find the bypass key? In windows 2000 and xp it was the shift key at boot up windows vista I think it was a different key but in windows 7. Just go to run and write 'control userpasswords2. IMS manages a serial queue of waiting users if more than one user is contending for the same autologon terminal. After the autologon user is signed off, the next autologon user for the same terminal is automatically signed on. When all autologon users have signed off, the terminal is free to begin its ALOT cycle in order to terminate the session.

Introduction
Autologon enables you to easily configure Windows’ built-in autologonmechanism. Instead of waiting for a user to enter their name andpassword, Windows uses the credentials you enter with Autologon, whichare encrypted in the Registry, to log on the specified userautomatically.
Autologon is easy enough to use. Just run autologon.exe, fill in thedialog, and hit Enable. To turn off auto-logon, hit Disable. Also, ifthe shift key is held down before the system performs an autologon, theautologon will be disabled for that logon. You can also pass theusername, domain and password as command-line arguments:
autologon user domain password
Note: When Exchange Activesync password restrictions are in place,Windows will not process the autologon configuration.
